Serena William is a professional tennis player, born on 26th September, 1981 in the US. According to several experts, Serena is the best tennis player of all time, so she is known as Queen of the Court. She was ranked by WTA (Women's Tennis Association) as World No. 1, six times. On July, 8th, 2002, she was ranked as World No. 1 for the first time. Her current rating is also World No. 1. Serena is the only female athlete who won $60 million of prize money!

Serena’s parents are Richard Williams and Oracene Price. She has 5 half-sisters, Lyndrea, Isha and Yetunde Price, and one sister, Venus. Serena started playing tennis when she was 3 years old. When she was 9 years old, her family and she moved to West Palm Beach, so she can practice tennis on Rick Macci tennis academy. After just one year, her father stopped sending her to the academy, due to, disagreement between Richard and Rick Macci and racial problems. Since then, she has been trained by Richard. Even today, she is coached by her two parents! A few years ago, Serena announced that she doesn’t regret for leaving the Rick Macci tennis academy.

She has 34 Grand Slam titles. 19 of them are in singles, 13 in women’s doubles and 2 in mixed doubles. She held 4 Grand Slam titles at the same time, which made her the latest tennis player who achieved this. With her sister, Venus Williams, they held 4 Grand Slam woman doubles titles. Serena won: Australian Open (2003, 20005, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2015), Wimbledon (2002, 2003, 2009, 2010 and 2012), French Open (2002 and 2013), and US Open (1999, 2002, 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2014).
